We are interested in whether Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10 or CoQ10), an over-the-counter nutritional supplement can reduce symptoms* associated with Gulf War Illness and improve quality of life. 

This University of California, San Diego (UCSD) Q10 and Gulf War Veterans Research Study, located in La Jolla, CA,  is headed by Beatrice A. Golomb, MD, PhD. We are currently conducting a clinical study to determine the effectiveness of treatment with CoQ10 for symptoms of Gulf War Illness.

To be eligible for participation, you must be a veteran from the 1990-91 Gulf War and experiencing health problems since your deployment in the Persian Gulf. Men and women are encouraged to participate.
